AEW is going all out for the April 22 episode of Dynamite as it will build towards the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. That’s why the company has planned a solid lineup with key matches and important moments to keep viewers engaged throughout the show. Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite features appearances from Darby Allin and more, so it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. AEW Dynamite will be airing at 8 PM ET, The show will take place at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon.
Darby Allin’s reign as AEW World Champion begins under immediate pressure as he’ll defend the title against Tommaso Ciampa. The Psycho Killer will do anything to dethrone Allin, so we’ll have to see whether Allin can retain the title in the end. Will Ospreay squares off against former United Empire teammate Mark Davis. After Davis aligned himself with The Don Callis Family and launched an attack last week, this match is a personal one for Ospreay. So it remains to be seen who will win in the end. AEW World Champion Darby Allin is also set to address the crowd for the first time since dethroning MJF. Finally, Mina Shirakawa will duke it out with Hikaru Shida in singles competition.
MJF was protesting ahead of the match. MJF continues to protest now. You can be sure there will be more this week. We can expect MJF to get his way and a rematch, maybe at AEW Double or Nothing, where these two have a history that also involved the two pillars. You can be sure it won’t be “insert insult” in a town like Portland, Oregon. On Collision, Mina Shirakawa confronted Hikaru Shida after the former AEW Women’s World champions’ tag team victory with Kris Statlander. For weeks, we’ve seen signs and teasers that Shida might turn heel. Shirakawa has been on the warpath with revenge on her mind. Laser-focused on finding who attacked “Timeless” Toni Storm, Shirakawa accused Shida of carrying out the attack.
