Friday Night SmackDown always delivers memorable moments, and the January 24th episode will be no different. With a strong lineup of matches and segments, fans can expect non-stop excitement that will keep them hooked and eager for more. Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With solid matches like Motor City Machine Guns vs. Pretty Deadly, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. WWE SmackDown will air live from the Moody Centre in Austin, Texas, starting at 8 PM ET on the USA Network and also on-demand viewing. Internationally, fans can also catch the show on streaming platforms like Netflix.
LA Knight is set to face Tama Tonga in singles competition after the Bloodline ruined his chances at winning the United States Title on the January 10th SmackDown. Knight wanted revenge, but The Bloodline ambushed him—until Braun Strowman made a surprise return to even the odds. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see who will prevail in the match. The Motor City Machine Guns will take on Pretty Deadly in a highly anticipated match. Elton Prince and Kit Wilson tried to interfere in Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin’s match against Los Garza last week, but their plan backfired since the Machine Guns still picked up the win. There’s no doubt fans are very excited for this match as they expect a lot of fast-paced action from bell to bell.
The Motor City Machine Guns have been on absolute tear as they look to reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championship from #DIY. Over the past two weeks, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have beaten the likes of A-Town Down Under and Los Garza in scintillating matches to inch closer and closer to a tag title rematch. Again last week, Fatu and Tonga would interfere in the Jimmy Uso and Carmelo Hayes bout, laying waste to anyone with a pulse. But then again, Braun Strowman and LA Knight were there on the frontlines. This series of events lead us to this Friday night: LA Knight vs. Tama Tonga. On paper, the WWE Universe is getting a dang good match. But if you look more deeply, this one is personal, and both men will go out of their way to get one up on each other. Last week, their win over Los Garza was almost dashed by the interference of Pretty Deadly. Fortunately, MCMG were veterans of the industry that knew what to do in situations like that. They would dispatch Kit Wilson and Elton Prince on their way to hitting Skull and Bones and picking up the victory. Friday night, Shelley and Sabin look to exact some comeuppance as they face off against Pretty Deadly. That’s all for the WWE SmackDown preview for January 24th, 2025. See it all unfold this Friday night on the USA Network live, as well as on Netflix!
