The May 2nd episode of Friday Night SmackDown is expected to be a big one, since it will build toward the Backlash Premium Live Event happening next week. Therefore, fans can definitely look forward to a solid show from start to finish. Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With appearances featuring Randy Orton and matches like Aleister Black vs. The Miz and more it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. WWE SmackDown will air live from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, starting at 8 PM ET.

Aleister Black officially returned on last week’s SmackDown and laid out The Miz with a huge Black Mass kick. Black is now set to face off against the A-Lister in his in-ring return, so we’ll have to see how he will fare against The Miz. Randy Orton will be appearing on SmackDown ahead of his match against John Cena for the Undisputed Championship at WWE Backlash. The Viper took out Cena with a brutal RKO on the April 25th edition of SmackDown, so fans are excited to see what he will have to say during this week’s show.

Zelina Vega surprised everyone last week when she pinned Chelsea Green to capture the Women’s United States title. However, the victory came in the absence of Green’s Secret Hervice (Alba Fyre & Piper Niven), which might irk them as their negligence cost Green the title. The Secret Hervice might target Vega, ambushing her badly for pinning the former Champion. The newly crowned United States Champion, Jacob Fatu, once again displayed his dominance last week by single-handedly taking out LA Knight, Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre during a #1 contender’s match between Knight and McIntyre. The match ended in a disqualification after Priest ambushed McIntyre but the segment ended with Fatu standing tall. The promotion can conclude the show, announcing a colossal fatal four-way clash between the four with the United States title on the line at the upcoming PLE.  On last week’s show, Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and Randy Orton engaged in a fiery segment, which also included an official title clash announcement for the Backlash PLE. However, the segment ended unceremoniously for the Champion as he tried to attack Orton only to eat a vicious RKO. Orton is now set for an appearance tonight, and Cena might retaliate by ambushing him for the humiliation last week.
