Friday Night SmackDown never fails to deliver memorable moments, and the February 5 episode promises to be no exception. As the first episode following the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, fans can expect major fallout, surprises, and crucial WrestleMania developments. Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With appearances from Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. WWE SmackDown will air live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennesse, starting at 8 PM ET on the USA Network and also on-demand viewing. Internationally, fans can also catch the show on streaming platforms like Netflix.
Jey Uso made history at the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, eliminating 16-time WWE Champion John Cena to pick up the win. During his appearance on the February 3rd episode of Monday Night RAW, Jey thanked the WWE Universe for their support, crediting the fans for his monumental win. He then proudly declared his intentions to main-event WrestleMania 41. However, Jey’s celebration was interrupted by World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, who warned that if Jey chooses to challenge him at WrestleMania, every week leading up to the event would be “hell.” Uso fired back, stating that he was tired of people doubting him and confirmed that he would appear on SmackDown to confront Cody Rhodes. Therefore, we’ll have to see what he will have to say to The American Nightmare.
This past Monday night, Flair and Uso confronted the Brand’s top champions in the form of Rhea Ripley and Gunther. Ripley was beyond game to run this back one more time against Charlotte. It’s 1-1, and a possible rematch could settle this over half-decade feud once and for all. Gunther, on the other hand, dismissed Jey Uso. The “Ring General” wanted nothing to do with Jey Uso after their battle at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. The choice is still up to Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso, and they’ve come to SmackDown to confront WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
The 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair is also set to appear on SmackDown this week. While Flair has yet to announce which champion she will challenge at WrestleMania, she recently appeared on Raw, where Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley pleaded with her to choose their long-anticipated rematch. However, Flair remains undecided and is keeping her options open. She also made a surprise appearance on the February 4th episode of NXT. With her upcoming appearance on SmackDown in Memphis, all signs point to a confrontation with WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, so it remains to be seen how that will turn out.
