Friday Night SmackDown always delivers when it matters, and the February 28 episode will be no exception. With a strong lineup and solid matchups, fans can look forward to a night filled with surprises and memorable moments as it’s the go-home edition of the show before the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With appearances featuring LA Knight and Trish Stratus, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. WWE SmackDown will air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, starting at 8 PM ET.
Last week on SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green would compete in her home country against a mystery opponent. Therefore, it remains to be seen who will end up squaring off against Chelsea Green. After defeating The Miz during the February 14th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, LA Knight became the number one contender for the U.S. Title and now gets his shot at champion Shinsuke Nakamura during this week’s SmackDown. Therefore, we’ll have to see if Knight can reclaim his title once and for all, as Nakamura will stop at nothing to retain the United States Championship.
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is set to make her appearance on Friday Night SmackDown this week. Considering the fact that she and Tiffany Stratton will be squaring off against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, fans are looking forward to seeing what Stratus will have to say. United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura puts the title on the line tonight against LA Knight. The megastar has been trying to regain this belt ever since he lost it to Shinsuke back in November. Tiffany Stratton also has to keep an eye out for Charlotte Flair, who is challenging for the WWE women’s championship at WrestleMania 41. WWE Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were bailed out last week when the Street Profits crashed their title defense against Pretty Deadly. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins laid out everyone in the ring, including the Motor City Machine Guns.
