WWE SmackDown continues to be one of the most eagerly awaited weekly shows, and this week’s episode, set for October 18, 2024, is no exception. Fans can look forward to an action-packed lineup featuring some of WWE’s biggest superstars and exciting matchups. Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama, incredible matchups, and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With matches like Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes, Roman Reigns’ appearance and more, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. WWE SmackDown will air live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina, starting at 8 PM ET on the USA Network.
Carmelo Hayes and Andrade have been squaring off against each other for several weeks now, with each of their matches receiving tons of praise for good reason. It will finally culminate in a tiebreaker match on SmackDown this week, as the series is currently tied at 3-3. WWE teased the debut of the Motor City Machine Guns during the October 4 episode of SmackDown when a mysterious video vignette aired, and they would eventually announce the tag team’s debut for this week’s SmackDown. They are set to face off against Los Garzas in what is expected to be a solid match.
The epic series between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes will finally come to its conclusion next week on SmackDown. As announced by Nick Aldis on last week’s show, the duo will be battling it out one last time to end this series once and for all. However, there is more at stake. Whoever wins the seventh match will be crowned the number one contender for the United States Championship held by LA Knight. Hayes and Andrade have been going at it for months, trying to destroy each other to determine who’s the best competitor between the two of them.
On the October 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens ended up physically assaulting Randy Orton when Orton tried to play mediator between Owens and Cody Rhodes. Orton then made it clear Owens will pay for his actions, and fans can expect to see the two have a confrontation on SmackDown this week. On the October 11th episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso were attacked by Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. This ambush has made Reigns angry and ready for revenge. Fans can expect him to go after the faction on this week’s SmackDown, promising retribution.
