The May 12, 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw is shaping up to be a must-watch. AJ Styles will be duking it out with Finn Balor in singles competition on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This comes after Dominik Mysterio ordered Balor to “take care” of Styles, so it remains to be seen how Balor will fare against the Phenomenal One.
After El Grande Americano cost him the Intercontinental Title at the Backlash Premium Live Event, Penta will be squaring off against Chad Gable in one-on-one action. Penta has revenge on his mind, so Gable has his work cut out for him. Women’s World Champion IYO SKY teams with Rhea Ripley to face off against Roxanne Perez and Giulia in tag team action. SKY and Ripley have a lot of issues with Perez and Giulia, so fans can expect a lot of hard-hitting action during the match. Finally, Erik & Ivar of the War Raiders face off against Julius & Brutus Creed of American Made, where the winner will go on to challenge The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Titles. Therefore, it remains to be seen who will pick up the win in the end.
The two men meet under the pretence that Bálor will deflect Styles off his path towards a match for Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship. But, both men will want to reach the heights they did eight years ago and remind everyone that they are much more than just second fiddle in Mysterio’s narrative. Talking of second fiddle, both War Raiders and American Made would like to be seen as the second-best tag team on WWE Raw. This match will surely identify who gets the next crack at the top team, World Tag Team Champions The New Day. Finally, with Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and Bron Breakker seemingly taking the night off for Backlash, we can expect them to continue trying to prove their dominance on WWE Raw. The new faction could be enough to push the constantly on the verge of a breakdown Adam Pearce over the edge.
