The January 5, 2026 episode of Monday Night Raw is expected to be one of the most exciting shows in a long time. As the first Raw of the new year, the episode will feature great matches, big moments, and major developments in ongoing storylines. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW will be one to remember. With the likes of CM Punk and more being present for the show, it’s certain fans wouldn’t want to miss out. Monday Night RAW will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, starting at 8 PM ET.
CM Punk will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker. Breakker earned this opportunity after pinning Punk during the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. So we’ll have to see whether Breakker ends up dethroning the Second City Saint to become the new champion. The Women’s Intercontinental Championship will also be defended as Maxxine Dupri faces Becky Lynch in another major match. Lynch has been determined to get her title back and constantly called Dupri a fake champion after AJ Lee’s interference, so it remains to be seen whether Dupri can put down Big Time Becks once and for all.
The Women’s Tag Team Titles will be on the line as The Kabuki Warriors defend against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. The two teams have a lot of history and hatred for each other, and Rhea and SKY have momentum heading into the bout. So, fans are excited to see if Ripley and SKY will pick up the win and become new champions. Liv Morgan will compete in her first televised singles match since returning from injury. She’ll be duking it out with Lyra Valkyria, so we’ll just have to see how Valkyria will fare against Morgan. Rey Mysterio and Penta might be able to counteract some of those names, but it will probably take a surprise return from LA Knight to tip the scale back in CM’s favor. Knight was Tsunami splashed on a car by Reed last month, so it would be a sweet measure of revenge for the megastar to screw over The Vision in such a high stakes fight. The first Raw of the year also features Becky Lynch’s first match since she gave up at War Games in November. Lynch’s boycott of Raw is over, and she’s back in the ring challenging Maxxine Dupri for the women’s Intercontinental championship.
