The September 16 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a must-see show. The episode will continue building momentum toward the No Mercy Premium Live Event and it’s also the Homecoming edition of the show, so fans can expect a lot of epic moments throughout the night. Tonight’s episode of NXT has a ton of action in store for fans. With the likes of Trick Williams and more on the show, it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. WWE NXT will air live from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, starting at 8 PM ET.
Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes will be teaming up to square off against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. This comes after #DIY came back to NXT a couple of weeks ago and went after Williams, eventually leading to Williams bringing back Hayes and WWE booking a tag team match. So we’ll have to see who will win in the end. Tyler Breeze made his unexpected return during last week’s episode of NXT, where he took a selfie after Ethan Page lost to Tavion Heights. Breeze is now set to challenge Page for the NXT North American Championship on this week’s episode of NXT, so it remains to be seen if Breeze can pull off the upset win.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame. This comes after Paxley and Dame became the #1 contenders for the titles last week on NXT, so fans can expect a solid match between the two teams on this week’s show. Stephanie Vaquer, Lyra Valkyria & Rhea Ripley will duke it out with Fatal Influence in a six-woman tag team match. Finally, the Grayson Waller Effect returns and will feature Oba Femi and Ricky Saints as guests. Stephanie Vaquer was first to interrupt Jayne, then Tiffany Stratton would come out, then followed by Rhea Ripley. All of these women were former NXT Women’s Champions and have cemented themselves into NXT history. They made their appearance as they weren’t pleased with what Jacy Jayne had to say.
