WWE’s NXT brand held their Gold Rush special at The Theater in Madison Square Garden. That being said, since the second night was taped tonight, we have spoilers for next week’s show.
Fallon Henley and Zaria faced off in the WWE Women’s Speed Tournament final during the second week of Gold Rush. This match was the finals of a tournament that saw Sol Ruca drop the title. Although Zaria promised to win the title, she did not come up with the gold. In the end, Fallon Henley won the championship. This marks Henley’s second title run in WWE, because she was once NXT Women’s North American Champion. Now Fatal Influence is covered in gold after Jacy Jayne won the NXT Women’s Title from Tatum Paxley during Gold Rush night one. Only time will tell what happens next, but this could be an interesting time for the WWE Speed Women’s Title.
Jordan wasn’t planning on defending her championship at NXT Gold Rush until Director of Authority of TNA Wrestling, Santino Marella, had other ideas for Jordan. He enforced a match for her at Gold Rush to defend her championship against both Jordynne Grace and Lei Ying Lee. Lee is looking to restore honor to the championship, as she feels it was stripped while in Kelani Jordan’s possession, especially given Jordan’s new attitude. Jordynne Grace is also entering the match with confidence as she is ready to become a four-time Knockouts Champion.
