AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view is one of the most highly anticipated events in a long time. With a strong lineup of matches from start to finish, AEW has made sure fans will be entertained all night. The AEW WrestleDream 2025 pay-per-view promises to deliver high drama, incredible matchups, and storylines. With solid matches such as Adam Page vs. Samoa Joe and many more matches, it’s definitely a show that fans shouldn’t miss. AEW WrestleDream will be taking place on October 18 at the Chaifetz Arena, St. Louis, Missouri. The Saturday Tailgate Brawl pre-show will begin at 7 PM ET on TNT and stream on HBO Max, and the main show will start at 8 PM ET.
Adam Page will be defending the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe in what’s expected to be an all-time classic. Joe and Page have a lot of history, dating back to their feud back in 2024, so we’ll have to see if Page will retain the title in the end. Jon Moxley will be squaring off against Darby Allin in an I Quit match at AEW WrestleDream. The two have been determined to destroy each other even before the match, so it remains to be seen who will end up saying “I Quit” once and for all. After losing the AEW Women’s Championship at All Out, “Timeless” Toni Storm invoked her rematch clause against Kris Statlander and the two will be duking it out at AEW WrestleDream. Storm will stop at nothing to get back her title, while Statlander wants to show the world what she’s made of. So, fans will just have to wait until the event to see who walks out as the champion.
Kyle Fletcher defends his TNT Championship against veteran Mark Briscoe. The two have faced each other plenty of times already, but Briscoe is now desperate to beat Fletcher no matter what. So, fans are excited to see whether Redneck Kung Fu will prevail this time around. Brodido defend the World Tag Team Championships against Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family. Lately, there’s been growing issues between Okada and Takeshita, so we’ll have to see whether they can work together and pick up the win over Brodido.
AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page, in his fifth title defense, is set to battle Samoa Joe, while on the other hand, Kris Statlander is set to defend the AEW Women’s World title in a rematch against the former Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm. This will be their first one-on-one match. Furthermore, a $500K Tag team match between Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) has been announced for the show. On the other hand, AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher will defend the title against Mark Briscoe. Furthermore, AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) will take on Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita), with the tag titles on the line.
A final meeting between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley showed they are no longer the same type of foils. Reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, when Batman comes face-to-face with The Joker, the commonality between them has dissolved. Moxley himself claims to be fighting something more than his ghosts, as if he has evolved beyond the stage where Allin is. Although no longer a caricature of himself, and with the Death Riders once again an enjoyable act, Mox’s mission statement has been achieved. Allin fights for freedom and for the future of AEW.
