AEW Revolution 2025 PPV March 9th 2025 Preview.

Each year, the AEW Revolution PPV sets a benchmark for the year. Despite the fact that events can have their highs and lows, it always sets a ceiling of expectations. One that AEW knows how to smash through. Revolution looks to continue AEW’s hot streak of acclaimed PPV into 2025. A variety of stories will end. Quality seems assured.

Two matches that won’t be previewed do have their own individual Match Point guides. You can read about Hangman Adam Page vs. MJF and The Hollywood Ending between “Timeless” Toni Storm and Mariah May by clicking on the links. Like Macbeth, Ricochet is walking around in borrowed robes. Hubris and over-confidence shield the man who is out of This World. Although Ricochet’s willing to cheat to win, As discussed on this week’s Dynamite preview, Strickland created his nemesis in Ricochet. Just like Strickland changed Adam Page by making him relapse into a darker version of himself. However, Ricochet is not like Page in terms of the depths of how far he is willing to go unless he is pushed to that place on Sunday. Their first match was brutal and innovative, displaying both men’s changing characters and an impressive arsenal of moves. The second promises more. Ricochet won last time because of an accidental low blow. Men will do whatever they have to do to get a shot at the AEW World Championship. Just as its current champion will do anything he can to protect it.

Kazuchika Okada has been quite dominant as the AEW Continental Champion and he has put down all kinds of top stars over the past year. Most recently, he defeated Buddy Matthews in a solid match at AEW Grand Slam, and Okada will now defend his title against Matthews’ partner Brody King. Considering the fact that King is one of the heaviest hitters, fans can expect a solid bout between the two. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin have been ruling over the tag team division in AEW as the AEW Tag Team Champions for a long time now. They are now set to defend their titles against The Outrunners, who are currently fan favorites in the company. We’ll have to wait and see whether The Outrunners will be able to pull off the upset win somehow or if The Hurt Syndicate will reign supreme once again. Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher have been feuding for a very long time now, and it will finally culminate in a steel cage match at AEW Revolution this week. Fletcher previously beat Ospreay at AEW FullGear, while Ospreay got revenge at AEW Grand Slam: Australia. With this possibly being the final match between them, fans are excited to see who will pick up the win once and for all.

The Death Riders saga remains divisive but it’s hard to ignore the progression since Cope’s AEW return. Post-Worlds End, more resistance has stood up against Jon Moxley’s faction. Week by week, Cope has kept his promise to make sure his match with Moxley will remain one-on-one. Will it stay that way? After returning, Cope stated during the Worlds End press conference that he wanted to have a gnarly, old show grindhouse-like match. Cope wants a vicious and violent encounter. Given how Cope returned after breaking his leg through what many felt was an unnecessary dive from a steel cage match, this might worry some fans. It should. Jon Moxley is capable of when it comes to physicality. With the promise of breaking Cope’s neck, the one that kept him retired for years because one more bump could paralyze him, this could be everything Cope wants it to be and more. Bloody and brutal, if the tempo is right.
