AEW Dynamite January 21st 2026 Preview.

AEW is putting extra focus on the January 21 episode of Dynamite to make it feel important. With a really stacked card, the company has ensured fans will have a great time from start to finish. Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite features appearances from MJF and more, so it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. AEW Dynamite will be airing at 8 PM ET. MJF is scheduled to appear live as he continues his second reign as AEW World Champion. He already retained the title against Bandido last week, so we’ll have to see who will confront him next, as there are tons of AEW stars who are gunning for his title. Kenny Omega will continue his feud with the Don Callis Family as he squares off against Josh Alexander. This match is literally years in the making, going back to Omega’s run as the TNA World Champion in 2020, so it remains to be seen whether the Best Bout Machine will manage to beat the Walking Weapon. The Death Riders have been feuding with the Don Callis Family for the past couple of weeks and it will come to a head this week as Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta face off against Hechicero, Lance Archer, and Rocky Romero in six-man action. Samoa Joe will be duking it out with Mike Bailey in singles action. In another match, Swerve Strickland will go one-on-one with Kevin Knight. Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford take on Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa in tag team action. FTR will square off against AEW’s newest signings Alec Price and Jordan Oliver, in a tag team match. Finally, the Triangle of Madness will respond to Kris Statlander’s challenge. There were standouts with Omega’s match against Gabe Kidd in NJPW and All In Texas, where a potential refreshing of the legendary rivalry with Okada was hinted at before the bell rang. Yet the timing and space between seem important. Expect Omega to manipulate reality, but it’s hard to ignore. The Best Bout Machine has changed. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. For a match like this, his first singles match in 2026, it creates anticipation, especially against Josh Alexander, whose late run of form since Ibushi’s injury has seen a vicious, mocking, bone-targeting hitman emerge. There are personal stakes beyond just the Don Callis Family involvement and Ibushi’s injury. It’s personal because the performance and outcome will determine whether Omega still has it in him for one more one. After claiming their first AEW championship belts, JetSpeed, Kevin Knight, and Speedball Mike Bailey go their separate ways on Wednesday night in singles action. Considering that both men have just won championships, the prospect that either one or both men could lose their first subsequent match defies conventional wrestling logic.
