The April 28 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a great show as the company is building towards their Premium Live Event, Battleground. So, the company has booked solid matches to keep fans engaged throughout the night. Tonight’s episode of NXT has a ton of action in store for fans. With the likes of Ricky Saints and more on the show, it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. WWE NXT will air live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, starting at 8 PM ET.
Myles Borne has had to deal with constant pressure from DarkState, but this time the threat is coming from within the group itself. Instead of Dion Lennox getting another shot, Saquon Shugars has stepped up to challenge for the North American Championship. So we’ll have to see how Borne will fare against Shugars in the end. All eyes will be on Lizzy Rain as she officially debuts on NXT television this week. She impressed fans with her debut video package last week, so it remains to be seen how she will fare in her debut on this week’s show. The BirthRight take on the team of E.K. Prosper and Dorian Van Dux in tag team action this week. Finally, Shiloh Hill will go one-on-one with Ricky Saints. Considering the fact Saints is arriving on SmackDown soon, Hill is determined to make the most out of this opportunity and gain momentum before Saints leaves.
Last week, Tony D’Angelo didn’t defend his title, but the pressure around him is building. Keanu Carver made his intentions clear, laying out Joe Hendry and declaring war on the NXT Champion. So this week, Tony’s next challenger will be revealed. For weeks, Dion Lennox of DarkState has been trying to capture the North American Championship. He seems like he is going to keep trying to challenge him until he brings the championship back to DarkState. This time, Saquon Shugars took things into his own hands to bring the North American Championship to DarkState. Except this time, Shugars is going to be the one challenging Myles Borne for the championship because of how many opportunities Lennox already received. Lennox was very frustrated with this decision. His reaction proves Shugars’ previous point: that Lennox is part of DarkState for his own benefit.
