CM Punk beat Jey Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event to win the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Second City Saint is now set to make his first appearance as the champion on Raw this week, so we’ll have to see what he will say on the show. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will defend the WWE World Tag Team Championships against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of Judgment Day. Balor and McDonagh demanded a rematch after McDonagh’s win over Sheamus last week and so the match was booked. Now it remains to be seen whether Balor and McDonagh will manage to beat Styles and Lee and reclaim the titles once and for all.
After last week’s backstage assault by The Kabuki Warriors, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria will now team up to square off against Asuka and Kairi Sane in tag team action. So, fans can expect a solid match considering the in-ring skills of everyone involved. Nikki Bella and Stephanie Vaquer will be duking it out with Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez in tag team action. Finally, Penta will continue his feud with El Grande Americano as they will face off in a singles match this week. GM Adam Pearce was hesitant to approve the rematch, but Styles and Lee agreed to defend their titles against them this week. Styles and Lee are looking for their first successful title defense, while Balor and McDonagh want to bring the tag titles back into the Judgment Day.
