AEW Collision August 23rd 2025 Preview.

AEW recorded the August 23rd episode of AEW Collision from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on August 20th. Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, Darius Martin, and Hiromu Takahashi defeated Josh Alexander, Rocky Romero, Hechicero, and Lance Archer when Takahashi pinned Romero after the Time Bomb.

Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata defeated Skye Blue and Julia Hart via pinfall. After the match, Thekla, Megan Bayne, and Penelope Ford attacked the babyfaces. Harley Cameron tried to help, but she was beaten down as well, until Kris Statlander made the save. Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Max Caster in another Caster Open Challenge. Afterwards, Anthony Bowens ran in and attacked Caster, but Billy Gunn made the save. Big Bill pinned Mark Andrews in a squash match. Bryan Keith helped Big Bill beat Andrews up even more after the match.

The Young Bucks defeated Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly after interference from Don Callis and Kazuchika Okada. After the match, Kazuchika Okada took out Swerve Strickland. This concluded the tapings. In the past, these matches have yielded significant returns and attracted heavy hitters who utilize Caster as a stepping stone. Sometimes, they have been a backdoor means of getting someone a rebound win or providing a segment for more storyline progression.

With that said, could Swerve Strickland come out for a tune-up ahead of Sunday? Might Killswitch send Caster to the tar pit? Hiromu Takahashi has been suspiciously absent, with little build for his TNT Championship challenge. A match against the Best Wrestler Alive© could be an ideal warm-up and intro for those unfamiliar with his game. Maybe Caster gets a home-nation beating. Nigel McGuinness could give Caster an exclusive look at the London Dungeon. Zack Sabre Jr could make Caster feel pain in regions he never knew could hurt. Gabe Kidd nutting (a headbutt for those not accustomed to British slang), Caster into a hospital bed.
