AEW Dynamite January 29th 2025 Preview.
AEW works hard to make every episode of Dynamite exciting, and the January 29th edition is no exception. The company has put together a packed lineup to keep fans entertained from start to finish, which is exactly what the company intends to do. Therefore, fans can look forward to a solid episode no matter what. Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite has several solid matches featuring Jay White, Will Ospreay and many more, so it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. AEW Dynamite will be airing at 8 PM ET on TBS as well as streaming on MAX. The show will take place at the VBC Probst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama and fans can look forward to a lot of great action at the event.
Jeff Jarrett steps into the ring with AEW World Trios Champion Claudio Castagnoli in a high-stakes singles match. After calling out Jon Moxley last week, Jarrett was blindsided by Castagnoli and that’s what led to this match. If Jarrett pulls off the upset, he earns a shot at the AEW World Championship against Moxley, so we’ll have to see if Jarrett can manage to get the win. Will Ospreay continues his war with the Don Callis Family as he faces off against the powerhouse Brian Cage. With Ospreay and Kenny Omega set to take on Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Grand Slam Australia, Ospreay is determined to build some momentum heading into the match.
Huntsville may not give its CEO a warm welcome, but I dare any crowd not to fall in love with Yuka Sakazaki. The contrast of personalities will make this a fun character contest, at least. The eternally happy and positive Sakazaki, frustrating and pushing the buttons of the arrogant champion, will entertain. Likewise, their styles could mesh well with the right in-ring story and amount of time. This could be Mone’s best Dynamite match to date, especially as Mercedes Mone is on form in the ring. Plus, some of Mone’s best matches post-WWE came against Joshi wrestlers. The wave of good faith and momentum built throughout Jeff Jarrett’s AEW run grew to new heights after his emotional promo in last year’s Owen. The Last Outlaw has, at times, captured fans’ attention, leading some to re-evaluate Jarrett’s career. The one final gamble storyline, one more shot at the world championship, had legs. Then, that microphone performance for many fans two weeks ago against MJF cut them down. Much of that good faith was betted away.
Mercedes Moné defends her TBS Championship against Yuka Sakazaki in what promises to be a fast-paced bout. Sakazaki secured this title shot after winning a four-way eliminator against Queen Aminata, Deonna Purrazzo, and Serena Deeb on Collision Homecoming, so it remains to be seen whether Sakazaki will be able to pull off the upset win somehow. After last week’s intense confrontation with Hangman Page and a brutal message for Jeff Jarrett, MJF is set to address the AEW universe. With speculation surrounding his next move, fans can expect something entertaining from the former AEW World Champion after he takes the mic. Jay White will be squaring off against Wheeler Yuta in a personal grudge match. After Yuta’s cheap shot led to White being taken down by the Death Riders last week, “Switchblade” is determined to put down Yuta once and for all and build momentum to an eventual shot at the AEW World Title.
