Friday Night SmackDown is known for its exciting segments and action-packed matches, and the January 17th episode will be just as exciting. With a solid lineup, fans can expect a show that will keep them on the edge of their seats and leave them wanting more. Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With appearances from the likes of Solo Sikoa and solid matches like Tiffany Stratton vs Bayley. WWE SmackDown will air live from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, starting at 8 PM ET on the USA Network and also on-demand viewing.
The newly crowned WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will defend her title against Bayley on this week’s episode of Friday Night. Bayley earned this title shot by winning an impromptu fatal 4-way match against Nia Jax, Bianca Belair, and Naomi on SmackDown last week. Therefore, fans are very excited to see whether Bayley will end up beating Stratton and stop her momentum in its tracks. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin of the Motor City Machine Guns will face Angel and Berto, the Los Garzas in tag team action on this week’s SmackDown. The winner of this match will be one step closer to challenging Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for the WWE Tag Team Championships in the future, so fans are looking forward to seeing who will come out on top in the bout.
Tiffany Stratton waited for months to cash in Money in the Bank, and just two weeks ago, she finally saw her moment and capitalized as he became the WWE Women’s Champion. It’s for damn sure that Stratton won’t let “Tiffy Time” end so prematurely. That said, Bayley has a ton of experience on her side, being a Grand Slam Champion, and she will definitely reach into her over a decade of knowledge to pull this one out. Solo Sikoa was convinced that after this match with Roman Reigns on the first WWE Raw on Netflix was over, he would be the one wearing the Uala Fala. Unfortunately, it did not turn out that way. Sikoa fought and did whatever it took to become the undisputed Tribal Chief, to no avail. Solo Sikoa suffered a major setback in his bid to become the ‘real tribal chief’ after losing to Roman Reigns in a tribal combat match with the sacred Ula Fala on the line during the big January 6 Netflix debut. Sikoa is set to return on SmackDown this week, so we’ll have to see what he will have to say during his appearance on the show.
