WWE knew that the world’s eyes were on them for their episode of NXT on January 7. They delivered a card full of big matches for New Year’s Evil, but the January 14 episode is shaping up to be an incredible show. Next week’s NXT will see them return to Orlando, but they still have plenty of reasons to make fans tune in. A title match is on the card, along with a #1 contenders match.
This week on NXT, Ava informed Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn that they will face Fatal Influence in a number one contender’s match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. That match will go down next week to see who will face Bianca Belair and Naomi next. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price vs Frazer and Axiom is also booked for the NXT Tag Team Titles. That should be a great match, and it may also continue teasing Axiom and Frazer’s breakup. Shotzi Blackheart and Stephanie Vaquer was also booked for next week’s NXT. There was some disagreement since Blackheart pinned NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley during their six-women tag team match. Since Vaquer won the #1 contenders match at New Years Evil, they will now figure out who faces Henley next during the January 14 episode of NXT.
NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom (Fraxiom) are set to defend their tag titles in the fallout show against the team of Lucien Price and Bronco Nima (OTM). Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend (Meta-Four) will lock horns with the team of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn (The Unholy Union) for the Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match. The winner of the clash in the fallout show will get a chance to battle the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi. As of writing this article, only two matches have been officially announced for the 01/14 fallout show of the developmental brand.
