AEW Full Gear 2024 PPV November 23rd 2024 Preview.

AEW Full Gear is the company’s next major pay-per-view and it promises to be a night of memorable moments and incredible matches, which has become the norm for AEW pay-per-views over the years. AEW is ensuring that Full Gear will be one for the ages with an exciting card. AEW Full Gear will be taking place on November 23rd at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The Zero Hour pre-show will begin at 6:30 PM ET and the main show will start at 8 PM ET.

Jon Moxley is in the process of overhauling AEW in an attempt to turn the promotion into something more in keeping with his pro wrestling vision. That began with him taking the World Title from Bryan Danielson and retiring him in the process. Orange Cassidy wasn't a fan of that, nor is he all that keen on Moxley's methods so will try and put a stop to his reign at Full Gear. It feels like it's been a while since Cassidy was provided the chance to remind fans just how good he can be when on a big stage. This is that opportunity and between Cassidy's talent and Moxley's mean streak, it promises to be a fantastic match. It will almost certainly end in Moxley winning, but the journey will be fun to watch.

The Hurt Business is now in AEW, as expected, and has changed its name to The Hurt Syndicate. Bobby Lashley took a little longer than the group's other members to make the jump, but that just made his eventual arrival even more impactful. Especially when Lashley chose that time to put down former AEW Champion, Swerve Strickland. Strickland challenged Lashley to what will be The All Mighty's first AEW match at Full Gear, and MVP accepted on his behalf. Despite the caliber of Lashley's opponent, there is almost no doubt the debutant will win this one. Though it runs the risk of seriously damaging Strickland's stock, having Lashley win in convincing fashion feels like the right way to go.

Mercedes Mone has backed up all the claims she has made about being the best since officially kicking off her AEW career. Mone won the TBS Title in her first All Elite outing and has been victorious in every match since. Kris Statlander will be the next wrestler to step up to try and end Mone's streak and take her title at Full Gear. Statlander has a special connection to the TBS Title as she won it by becoming the first and only person to defeat Jade Cargill for it before she left AEW for WWE. Full Gear will also mark the first anniversary of her losing the championship to Julia Hart. All of that history with the belt won't be enough to get her a win over Mone on November 23, though. Jay White picked up a significant win over Hangman Page at WrestleDream and assumed the issues between them had been left behind. Days later, Page made it abundantly clear that's not the case, attacking White and getting in his head enough that the WrestleDream victor was the one who wound up issuing a challenge for Full Gear. Considering the career record White has over Page, it's unsurprising it only took a little antagonizing to get him to challenge the AEW original to a rematch. White has beaten Page four times throughout his career, whereas Page only holds one victory over White. Page will double that tally at Full Gear.

Daniel Garcia's AEW contract status was up in the air for much of 2024, and since he committed his future to the promotion it has become clear that he probably never intended on doing anything different. His loyalty has been rewarded with a TNT Title shot as Garcia has promised to take the championship away from "entitled nepo baby" Jack Perry. Perry has had quite the year himself which is surprising considering he began 2024 still serving a controversial suspension from AEW. his run as TNT Champion has solidified Perry as a major player in AEW, but at Full Gear, it comes to an end. Garcia has the momentum and the fan backing, and the best way to keep that going will be to make him a champion.

AEW has been running a Contender Series to determine who will face Private Party for the Tag Team Titles at Full Gear and now the PPV is almost upon us, the lineup is complete. The champs will really have the odds stacked against them this weekend with House Of Black, The Outrunners, and The Acclaimed all gunning for their gold. Despite those odds, I still think the right call here is to keep the belts on Private Party. They dropped off for a bit there and this title reign hasn't been long enough to get them properly back on track. That said, if the titles are going to change hands, The Outrunners should be the ones picking up the win. Konosuke Takeshita has been getting in the way of Ricochet and Will Ospreay having the heated rivalry the world has been waiting for them to have ever since Ricochet arrived in AEW. So much so that at WrestleDream, not only was Takeshita inserted into their International Championship match, but he won it and is now champion. The further we go with these two, the clearer it becomes that Takeshita's win was a mechanic to get Ospreay's title on Ricochet without the former WWE Superstar ever actually beating him for it. Ricochet to win this one so Ospreay can confront him, reminding his rival that he never beat him for the Intercontinental Title.
